So I am looking into buying a digital SLR camera, but there are so many out there. I love my Nikon compact digital & I also love my Olympus tough digital. I have never owned a Canon, but I have heard great things about them as well. I'd eventually like to start a small photography business on the side, but for now I will just be working on my skills & such so I am not looking to buy a $5000 camera. Any preferences? Ask around for me please :)

I have a Nikon D3000 that I got Christmas of 2010. I LOVE it! It's such a great camera when you're starting off. Good luck!
